Melodk Eye
Melodk Eye is Jonathan Luck (founded 2018), a one-man psychedelic rock looping artist from Cincinnati, Ohio. Jonathan specializes in multi-instrumental soundscapes similar to Pink Floyd, Tame Impala and Jimi Hendrix, with a dash of authentic roots reggae to round out his all-original show. He is often joined by Dave Cupp (drums) and Alex Desch (bass) for a full band vibe. The debut Melodk Eye EP, Volume Earth, will be available online and at shows April 2023, produced by Eric Shokler of Onetta Band/Colored Sky. Intro Signal
Based in Cincinnati, OH, Intro Signal released their debut full length album entitled "Sign" in 2015. The self produced album was inspired heavily by 90's grunge, classic/psychedelic rock and even punk, pushing the boundaries of a typical rock record with the inclusion of synth based instrumentation. 2016 saw the band fall apart due to lead singer/guitarist Chris Roscoe's self-inflicted mental and physical health issues, which unfortunately delayed the release of a new album for several years. Roscoe continued writing songs during this time and managed to release a few singles for Intro Signal, all written and recorded by himself, which further pushed the music into a more electronic driven sound. As Roscoe's health began to improve, COVID struck, allowing him time to find new bandmates for a new Intro Signal and begin writing music together as a band again. In 2023, Intro Signal find themselves recording a new release that focuses less on electronic concepts by returning to a more guitar driven art sound, with hints of melancholia and shades of optimism. Be on the lookout for new music released in the spring of 2023. Visit us at www.introsignal.band or www.introsignal.band/EPK for more info.
The Mortals
The Mortals (@mortals_garage) are Cincinnati's donation of swagger to the garage punk revival. The band's early sound was “one of stripped-down, no-frills frenetic urgency, a hybrid of Midwest Punk and British Mod”. They released 3 LPs on the seminal garage label Estrus Records, as well as numerous singles, and compilation tracks on various indie labels. The Mortals' latest release, "Low Value Targets", injects bits of 1970s glam, post punk, and power pop into the garage foundation of their Estrus Records releases.
